Agus Beach Inn, Bali, Kuta review

After staying for a night in Manggar Indonesia Hotel, I decided to move to another cheaper accommodation in Kuta.

Agus Beach Inn is right beside Lippo Shopping Mall and closer to Kuta beach. There is also a stop for the Kura Kura public bus at the shopping all. It is a no-frills guesthouse but offers breakfast at an affordable price.

The guesthouse is located on a side street, away from the main street noise.

I was allocated a ground floor room, closest to the reception and dining area. The room itself is on the small side. Clean towels are provided.

The next day, I checked out in the morning and took a cab to the airport. When in Bali, or Indonesia, do take bluebird group taxi for their reliability. There is an online app to book the taxi, payable by cash. I used the app for a total of 3 times while in Bali. For short distances within Kuta, the price is displayed and fixed, so no haggling of taxi prices with the driver is necessary.

On my second tour of Bali, I reluctantly took a cab from the Bali Collection shopping area to the airport, having unsuccessfully waited for the bus in vain. For such longer distances, however, using the same taxi app, only a range of price is displayed. So there is still haggling required.

The good thing is the taxi driver took the more scenic and faster route via the toll bridge to the airport. So I get to see the beautiful sunset along the bridge !
