It was in the afternoon when the lux express coach made it into Vilnius bus station. I tried to arrange for a uber pick up, but the connection was lost unfortunately. So we had to walk from the bus station to the hostel. A good 30 minute walk away. The owner had informed that the reception would be closed soon so I hurried my pace to reach our overnight stay.
A good thing to note is that the old town of Vilnius, much like the old towns in the rest of europe, is made up of cobblestone streets, so lugging luggage along may be difficult. The large crowds along the streets didn't help either. A uber pick up is definitely more convenient and save the hassle.
However, during winter in the northern hemisphere, it was fast becoming dark. So after checking in, I went out for a stroll in the old town and get food as well.
As we had a whole day in Vilnius before our ride, we bought bus tickets for a day trip to Trakai. Stay tune for the next post !

We stayed for only a night in Vilnius as we will be taking the overnight coach to Warsaw. So, in the next morning, we had a quick stroll in the old town before we self check out from the hostel.
We took an uber to the bus station and deposited our luggage there for a small fee. The luggage office informed us to collect our luggage before the 20:00 closing time.
