Bandung in Indonesia is a pleasant city with a cool climate year round. It is much less crowded than Jakarta and provides a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Highly recommended for a budget stay!
The hostel is located in a narrow alley in a residential area. My room is actually located a few houses down from the administrative house. Though it may appear deserted, the area is safe day and night to walk around.
After putting down my bags, I booked another Grab ride to the shopping mall nearby.

It is Chinese New Year holiday, so there are festivities such as lion dance.
On the second day in Bandung, I arranged a tour with the hostel for a full day trip around Bandung.
First stop is the Kawah Putih. All tourists have to transfer to these vehicles for the last mile journey to the tourist attraction.

There is a chance to ride a horse too at an affordable rate.
Next stop is the scenic plantation.
